After the death of her estranged parents, Jaime returns to the small town she ran away from as a teenager. Her parents have left her ownership of their old house and custody of her hostile little sister, June. The police begin investigating the car crash for foul play. They consult Ben, the local car mechanic and Jaime’s ex-boyfriend. June now works at the AutoShop and is friends with Ben. David, Jaime’s current fiancé, comes to town to help sell the house. June is frustrated that Jaime is considering selling the house and leaves to stay with a friend. Now alone, Jaime tells David why she ran away in the first place. Later, at a dinner, Ben kisses Jaime, based on false information June told him. Jaime and June argue this. In an accident, Jaime falls and cuts her hand. David finds out about the kiss. Jaime runs away, her hand still bleeding. At a bar, she finds Porter, a police officer. Jaime almost passes out and Porter takes her to the hospital. Jaime and David make peace about Ben kissing her. Jaime tells June they can stay in town until she graduates. David leaves town. Jaime finds evidence that June made a car bomb. Jaime confronts June about this. June admits to it and tells Jaime she doesn’t know what June went through. Jaime holds June as she cries. Together, the girls burn down their house and leave town.
