Sophie and Jessa, two wanna-be Instagram influencers, support their dream by committing petty crimes. When the opportunity is presented, they move to New York. After struggling to fit into the sea of elite rich kids and other influencers, the girls begin stealing and conning their ways to having luxurious lifestyles. Jessa begins to gather millions of Instagram followers, while Sophie's follower count plateaus. After one of Sophie’s plans goes bad, the girls barely escape. Sophie and Jessa begin to argue. Thie goals and plans don't align anymore. Jessa begins to leave Sophie behind for the other influencers. A birthday party turns into a crossfire of insults, accusations, and hurled phones. Sophie outshines Jessa and Jessa retaliates by deleting Sophie’s Instagram. Sophie runs away and robs Jessa, taking back everything they stole together. Jessa calls the cops on her. Upon realizing she is about to be caught, Sophie lights everything ablaze. The girls stand off in the street, on either side of the fire. Jessa maintains her socialite status and Sophie goes to prison.
