The black poster (left) was designed with blank space in mind for the crew and cast to sign. I wanted to evoke the mystery of the door, i.e. the titular red rectangle.
The blue poster (right) was designed to highlight the hero prop, the pill, as well as the important location of the bathroom. The blue circle is a pill. The red outline of the girl is pulled from a "women's restroom" sign.
These posters were designed during pre-production to send campaign donors. I wanted to create multiple different designs, each focusing on a different aspect of the film.
The red poster (above) was the initial poster created. I based most material for our campaign around this poster.
